After squash or swimming laps in the pool, how about learning a foreign language? The Bay Club is now offering foreign language classes right here at our club location. We have teamed up with San Francisco's premiere foreign language school, ABC Language Exchange, to help you learn the language of your choice including Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese, Farsi and any other language you may have an interest in learning.

LANGUAGE AND CULTURE CLASSES

    *      Schedule: Lessons meet once a week for a total of 8 weeks. If one week is missed because of a holiday, a ninth week will be added to the semester. There is a free 9th session focusing on culture, which includes a wine tasting, cuisine sampling and discussion.

    *      Language Program Content: All classes are small groups (no more than 10 students) and focus on attaining practical conversational skills using university textbooks. Classroom atmosphere is fun and informal. New grammar and vocabulary are introduced every lesson. Your teacher will guide you as you practice using your new language skills through role-play, conversation and interactive activities. The teachers are native speakers and experienced, professional instructors.

   *      Unique Cultural Component: Understanding the culture of your target language is as important as speaking skills. This is why we have included a cultural component to each of your classes and finish your program with a free wine tasting, cuisine sampling and discussion.

    *      Tuition: $400 for members/ $420 non-members. There is one-time $50 registration fee for first-time students. All required materials are included at no extra cost. If you continue to the next semester, there are no further charges for materials.
